My Guide to Finding Both Power Cores in the Pyke Stronghold in Star Wars Outlaws

Star Wars Outlaws power core guide: stealthily disable both Toshara Pyke Stronghold cores in the Underworld quest to drop the energy barrier.

I still recall the tension of sneaking through the Pyke Stronghold on Toshara during the 'Underworld' main quest in Star Wars Outlaws. The goal was simple: disable the energy barrier by finding and shutting down two power cores. But with hostile enemies around every corner, it was anything but easy. After a few failed attempts (and a lot of blaster fire), I finally nailed down a reliable route. Here's how I did it, so you can avoid the same mistakes.

Trust me, stealth is your friend here. You can open fire without getting kicked out, but lockpicking the door past the barrier becomes a nightmare when enemies are shooting at you. So take it slow, use the tall grass, and let Nix help you out. 😊

First Power Core: Bottom Floor, Near Two Enemies

The first core is on the bottom floor of the stronghold, guarded by two Pyke enemies. From the entrance, turn right and use your grapple on the hook. Then go down the ladder opposite the hook. I used the tall grass to whistle and take down the nearby enemy quietly—it's a great way to stay hidden. Keep moving forward, sticking to the tall grass on the right to avoid the camera, and you'll soon spot the circular core.

Neutralise the two enemies (stealth takedowns are ideal), then press the prompt by the lever on the left-hand side of the core. That's one down!

Second Power Core: One Floor Up, Near the Red Barrier

The second core is on the opposite side of the base, one floor up, on the walkway near the red energy barrier at the back. There are three enemies who can spot you here, so I recommend approaching from the front of the base instead of climbing the small incline near the barrier. It's much easier to distract the enemies with Nix and take them out quietly from this angle.

Once you've cleared the area, disable the core using the nearby lever. With both cores down, the energy barrier will drop, and you can pick the lock to continue the story.

Quick Reference Table

Power Core Location Key Tips
First Core Bottom floor, near two enemies Use grapple and ladder, stick to tall grass, neutralise enemies, pull lever on left side of circular core
Second Core One floor up, walkway near red barrier at back Approach from front of base, use Nix to distract, take out three enemies quietly

Extra Tips for a Smooth Run

  • Use Nix often. His distract ability is a lifesaver when you need to slip past enemies or set up a takedown.

  • Stay low. The tall grass is your best friend—use it to break line of sight and avoid cameras.

  • Patience pays off. Rushing in will only make the lockpicking harder later. Take your time, and clear enemies methodically.

  • Check your surroundings. The Pyke Stronghold is maze-like, so keep an eye on your map and use the environmental cues.

With both cores disabled, you're free to continue the 'Underworld' quest and see where the story takes you. Good luck, and may the Force be with you! 🎮
